It is invalid traffic
Automated ad viewing is invalid traffic under most ad-network terms and most game terms of service. The impression is served to an empty chair. The advertiser paid for a view nobody saw. That is true of Idle Hands and there is no way to write around it.
What it does not do is worse. It never taps an advertiser’s install button or call to action, so no advertiser is ever charged for a false click. It never skips a spot, so the impression it delivers is a complete one. Whether that makes it fair is your judgment; whether it is against the rules is not in doubt. Your account, your call. The app carries throttles for a reason.
It is not on Google Play yet
Idle Hands is being prepared for the Play Store. Until the listing is live, the only builds that exist are the ones offered on the Get the app page, when there are any. Anything else claiming to be Idle Hands is not.
Everything on this site describes what has been built and tested on the phone it is being developed on. It is a work in progress and it changes often. Numbers, networks, and behaviors on the front page carry a date for that reason.
It is Android only
iOS gives no app a way to see which app is in front or to tap on its behalf. There is no iOS version and none is possible without changes Apple is not going to make.
Whose names these are
XP Hero is made by Supercent, Inc. Google AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, ironSource, InMobi, Fyber, Moloco, Vungle, and BidMachine are the trademarks of their respective owners, named here because that is genuinely what the app sits through. Google Play is Google’s. Samsung and Galaxy are Samsung’s. The games on the games list belong to their developers. None of them are affiliated with Idle Hands, endorse it, or have been asked to.
The XP Hero Field Guide is community-sourced from player discussion and is not official. Where it disagrees with the game, trust the game.
The name
The idiom completes itself: idle hands are the devil’s workshop. It was chosen with that in front of us. The name states the promise, not the mechanism. Your hands stay idle.
There is also a brewery, a coffee roaster, and a 1999 film by the same name. None of them are this, and the software trademark class is a different one from clothing, spirits, and wine.
No warranty
It is software that presses buttons on your phone while you are not looking. It is built carefully and it is tested against a synthetic game after every change, and it can still be wrong. Use it on that understanding.
