Green orbs (Soul Imprint)

Priorities from a two-year player: Basic Attack Up, Heavy Swing if you're melee, Critical Edge, Battle Boost. Costs climb steeply past level 80 in each stat (hundreds of orbs per point). Gold can be exchanged for green orbs, which is what to do with a full cargo late in the game. In Chapter 3, skeletons are the easy source.

Chapter 1 orange orbs (Special and Extra upgrades)

  • The spot directly to the right of the start screen: around 18 orange orbs per run, good gold, and close to the fountain. The next room over drops the other colors.
  • Alternate loop: desert, then swamp, back to the fountain.
  • The yellow elephant spawns every 12 minutes and drops 15 orange orbs.
  • Cargo capacity caps a run. Do short loops back to the fountain to empty cargo and refill HP, or invest in Cargo if you idle for long stretches. Specials and Extras farm indefinitely; gold is the thing that caps.

Chapter 2 orbs

  • Red orbs (skill evolution) only exist from Chapter 2 onward and through the Exchanger. Some Chapter 1 skill upgrades lock behind them; that's normal.
  • Orange/red: the snowy area right past the slime boss (three enemies dropping two each); areas 3 and 4 for elephants and frog men, then the witches; the northern spot by the small pond with a boss and three adds.
  • The frog area is a common overnight camp if you survive it without Miracle Boost.

Overnight spots

  • The Tauren Shaman spot: roughly 1,000 orbs overnight, plus around 1,000 trait stones if your auto-hunt catches the drones flying past.
  • The last monster group in Chapter 2: 11 levels in one night for a mid-level player.
  • A full Chapter 3 lap yields about 75 orbs, or 81 if you start bottom-left and go counterclockwise so the first spots have respawned by the time you're back.
  • Generally: the last area you've unlocked where you don't die.

Green crystals and orange elixir

Green crystals (weapon upgrades) come from rerunning Chapter 1 and 2 bosses and the Chapter 1 birds, in small quantities; an exotic weapon's upgrade path is estimated at tens of thousands. Orange elixir (hero levels) comes from Invasion portals. Evolution potions come from the raid shop, about one a day, and from ranking events.

Bluestone farm rates

From a player's spreadsheet at v25.2.0. Bluestones feed the smithy; roughly 2,187 normal weapons per exotic at nominal odds. Standing on a fast-reset boss is the best sustained rate because auto-hunt only triggers on groups, so you kill the boss every respawn. A full lap of every boss is 207 stones on about a two-hour cycle.
